Do you deliver?

No, not at this time. I am "pick up" only in Ortonville, Michigan.

Do you ship cupcakes?

The cupcakes are not able to be shipped due to how fragile/delicate they are.

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner the better! Sugar in Bloom consists of just myself behind the scenes as the decorator/prepper/baker and only able to take on so many orders per day. As of right now, I do book out 1-2 months in advance. At checkout, you will be able to see availability dates.

Am I able to cancel/modify an order?

I do my best to plan ahead with the amount of orders recieved. Once your order is placed through the online shop, all orders are considered final. Any requests for modifications, please message me to see if I am able to accommodate any changes. It is my sole discretion of Sugar in Bloom Cupcakes and may not be able to be accommodated. Please see Terms and Conditions for more detail.

Do you offer decorating classes?

Not at this time, but hopefully in the future!

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards which include Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX and PayPal through the online shop.

What kind of buttercream do you make?

I make American Buttercream from scratch. The ingredients include real butter, vanilla extract and powdered sugar. The buttercream is "sweet" but not overly sweet. It's delicious! Please avoid exposing your cupcakes to direct sunlight, as it may melt the icing. I suggest keeping your cupcakes inside for an event when possible to avoid any issues.

Do you take wedding/baby shower/bridal shower orders?

Yes I do! I would be honored to be a part of your special day. Please fill out an order request through the “Custom Order “ section. There is a 50% deposit required (please read terms and conditions).

Do you offer different size cupcakes?

Not at this time. I only make cupcakes in "jumbo" size, which is considered twice the size of a standard size cupcake. This size allows me to have a larger canvas to create beautiful flowers.

What's the best way to store my cupcakes? Do they freeze well?

PICK UP

Upon arrival, please clear an area on your floor board or top of folded down seats in your vehicle. When you arrive, I bring out each order and help put the cupcakes inside your vehicle. Hold the cake box from underneath and handle carefully. Keep cupcakes on a flat surface in your vehicle, not on your seat to ensure the box won't slide. Turn the A/C on if its hot out, the buttercream will melt in the heat. Do not leave in your vehicle for a long period of time.

AT HOME

These are fresh baked cupcakes, they are best if consumed within 2-3 days. They can be stored in an airtight container and left out on the counter, no fridge. The fridge will dry them out. If there are leftovers, they can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 months in the freezer. If you freeze your cupcakes, it will take about two hours to bring to room temperature. If there is any condensation, it will disappear after thawed.

Do your cupcakes contain peanuts?

There are no peanuts in the ingredients I use. I do however, cook and work in my kitchen that does contain nuts.

Can you recreate my wedding bouquet into a cupcake bouquet?

Yes I can! Please fill out the "Custom Order Inquiry" form for your specifications.

Everything is so beautiful and I can't decide! Any suggestions?

Let me help you by taking all the thinking out of it for you. Select the "Designer's Choice" in the shop.

For an outdoor event, what is the best way to display cupcakes?

I would suggest to keep the cupcakes inside if possible! The buttercream is made with butter and will "melt" in warm temperatures. I would hate for the cupcakes to not look their best on a special event!

Do you make cakes too?

No I do not make cakes. I only make cupcakes.

Do you require full payment before pick up?

All orders are required to be paid in full at the time of checkout on the shop. Weddings and other larger orders do require a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront to hold your date with Sugar in Bloom. Please read "terms and conditions" page for more detail.

Are you available for "walk ins"?

No I am not a walk in shop. Since I am a home-based business, everything you see on the shop is made to order. At checkout, please select your appointment pick up day and time.

Do you offer vegan/gf/dairy free cupcakes?

At this time I do not offer vegan or dairy free cupcakes. I do however, offer gluten free at no extra charge upon request through the "Custom Order Inquiry" request with a minimum order of one dozen.

Why do you offer specific pick up times?

I am a home based business, I do have other obligations that may require me to leave. Having an appointment time means that you are able to collect your bouquet at a time that best coordinates both of our schedules. I do ask that you please be respectful and mindful of your pickup time and treat it as any reserved appointment in your schedule. I appreciate you being on time to help keep scheduled pick ups to not overlap. If you do not collect at your appointment time, pickup may need to be rescheduled at the availability of Sugar in Bloom.
